About me

As part of my commitment to community engagement and inclusion, I attended Georgian College’s June celebration recognizing National Indigenous History Month, Pride Month, and other significant cultural observances. Participating in this event allowed me to support diversity, equity, and inclusion while gaining a greater appreciation for the cultures, histories, and experiences that strengthen our communities. This experience reinforced the importance of creating welcoming and respectful environments where everyone feels valued and represented.

I actively participate in community and leadership events that bring together students, professionals, educators, and local leaders to discuss ideas, strengthen relationships, and create positive change. These experiences have given me the opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives, collaborate with others, and contribute to meaningful conversations that benefit our community.

I believe strong leadership begins with listening, building connections, and working alongside others to create inclusive and thriving communities. My involvement in these events reflects my commitment to serving the public, supporting community initiatives, and representing the voices of Ward 1 residents with integrity and dedication.

Attending a Municipal Masterclass strengthened my understanding of local government, effective leadership, and the responsibilities of municipal decision-making. This experience reinforced my commitment to informed, transparent, and accountable leadership. As your Ward 1 Councillor, I will use this knowledge to make thoughtful decisions that reflect the best interests of our community.

I proudly participated in Simcoe County's #ItStarts campaign, promoting the values of inclusion, respect, equity, and community engagement. I believe strong communities are built by bringing people together, celebrating diversity, and ensuring every resident feels heard and valued. As your Ward 1 Councillor, I will continue to champion these values and work to create a welcoming, connected, and inclusive community for all.

By partnering with a family-owned business and a leading healthcare institution, we worked to raise awareness and support for an important local cause while bringing residents together.

This initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration between local businesses and community organizations. It reflected my commitment to supporting healthcare, encouraging local partnerships, and creating opportunities for residents to make a positive impact through community involvement.

I believe strong communities are built when local businesses, healthcare organizations, and residents work together toward a common goal. Supporting initiatives like this reinforces my dedication to community service, civic engagement, and improving the quality of life for everyone in Barrie.

I actively support initiatives that help international students feel welcomed, informed, and connected to our community. By volunteering at this information booth, I promoted campus resources, encouraged cultural exchange, and helped students build meaningful connections.

In addition, I work as a tax professional at Hafiz Tax Clinic, which has given me experience in client service, confidentiality, and handling sensitive financial information with accuracy and professionalism for local community of Barrie.

At Lakehead University, I serve as Global Ambassador and Acting Vice President of Enactus Lakehead, where I support international students, plan and deliver events, collaborate with campus departments, and promote resources through social media. This experience has developed my communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, as well as my commitment to inclusion and student engagement.

I have proudly supported 4 Seasons Bagel, a family-owned local bakery in Barrie, by helping promote and strengthen a small business that contributes to our community’s local economy. Through supporting their daily operations, community outreach, and customer experience, I have seen firsthand the dedication and hard work that goes into building a successful local business.

4 Seasons Bagel represents the importance of supporting independent businesses that create local jobs, bring people together, and add character to our neighbourhoods. By encouraging residents to shop locally and supporting family-owned businesses, we help create a stronger and more connected Barrie community.

I visited and supported a local food truck, recognizing the importance of small businesses within the community. By engaging with the owners and promoting local entrepreneurship, I contributed to fostering community connections and supporting independent businesses. This experience reinforced the value of encouraging local economic growth and building relationships with community members.

I was proud to volunteer and support community events at Lakehead University, including International Women’s Day and the Holi Snow Celebration. Through these events, I helped create a welcoming and engaging environment for students, faculty, and community members while assisting with event coordination and supporting attendees.

I am committed to building an inclusive and welcoming community by actively participating in cultural awareness initiatives. This event provided an opportunity to educate students and community members about Ramadan, encourage meaningful conversations, and celebrate the diversity that makes our community stronger.
